About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Google. As a key member of our Natural Language Processing (NLP) team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining cutting-edge NLP technologies that power our products and services.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test software applications that utilize NLP techniques to process and understand human language.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate NLP capabilities into our products and services.
  • Contribute to the development of new NLP algorithms and models that improve the accuracy and efficiency of our language processing capabilities.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NLP research and apply this knowledge to drive innovation in our products and services.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on NLP and machine learning.
  • 3+ years of experience in testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1+ year of experience in software design and architecture.
  • Experience with algorithms that use deep learning techniques and large data sets to understand, summarize, generate, and predict new content.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 1+ year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.

We offer a competitive salary range of $161,000-$239,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
