Position Overview: This full-time role, comprising 40 hours per week, is primarily stationed at a designated clinic while also providing support to various locations as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for their appointments by conducting a thorough room process, which includes documenting the chief complaint, measuring vital signs, reviewing medical history and allergies, and performing medication reconciliation.
  • Utilize the Encounter Guide to address any outstanding care gaps, such as screenings for fall risk, depression, breast cancer, colorectal cancer, and diabetic eye exams.
  • Assist with in-office procedures, including blood draws, mental status evaluations, EKGs, walking oxygen studies, and point-of-care testing.
  • Administer vaccinations and other injections as permitted by scope of practice.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments in accordance with office protocols.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and the clinical team to ensure effective implementation of care plans.

Qualifications:

For Medical Assistants:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Certification: Must possess active Medical Assistant certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) and obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Preferred Experience: At least 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, ideally in a primary care setting.

For LPNs:

  • Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing.
  • Licensure: Active LPN licensure required.
  • Preferred Experience: Minimum of 6 months of clinical healthcare experience, preferably in a primary care environment.
