As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our Medical Unit, you will be part of a talented team that is dedicated to excellence and innovation.

This is a full-time night shift position, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week from 7 pm - 7 am. As an LPN at NMC Health, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and continuing education opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellent nursing care to patients, including monitoring patient and family needs, planning, coordination, teaching, counseling, and direct physical care.
  2. Assist others in providing delegated aspects of care and function as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care delivery.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from high school or GED
  • Graduation from accredited school of Practical Nursing
  • Experience with and knowledge of medical terminology and medications
  • Experience with and knowledge of medical office procedures, including draw/administration of injections
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling and punctuation

Licensure and certifications:

  • Current license as a practical nurse in the state of Kansas
  • Basic Life Support is required
  • Preferred: IV Therapy Certification from State of Kansas Board of Nursing.
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on department/unit assigned.
