Job Summary

We are seeking a Tax Manager with public accounting experience who is looking for growth and development opportunities. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company's tax planning, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Oversee and manage the company's tax planning, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
  • Month-End Close Process: Lead the month-end close process, including the preparation and review of income tax provisions, effective tax rate, tax balances, and disclosures.
  • Strategic Tax Planning: Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
  • Team Management: Manage members of the tax team as they prepare components of the company's US federal income tax return and state tax returns.
  • Tax Return Review: Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
  • Tax Audit Management: Manage and coordinate tax audits.
  • Tax Balances: Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
  • Tax Paper Preparation: Prepare all tax papers on a regular basis and handle all information data requests.
  • Industry Trends and Developments: Stay updated on the latest industry trends and tax law developments to ensure company's tax liabilities are minimized.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the company's financial operations are legal and compliant with regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
  • Tax Knowledge: Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  • Reporting Requirements: Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
  • Tax Operations: Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
  • Financial and Tax Software: Strong ability to utilize and leverage financial and tax software (ERP systems).
  • Client Service: Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
  • Leadership and Personnel Management: Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical skills with detail orientation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
