Job Summary:

This position is located at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) and is responsible for developing and implementing leadership development programs for Prek-12 school leaders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in developing sequential Prek-12 school leadership programs, monitoring contracts for services or products, conducting research to improve developmental Prek-12 school leadership programs, and performing a full-range of supervisory duties.

The selected candidate will serve as the program manager for the DoDEA Leadership Development, Teacher Leader and New Teacher mentor programs, and will be responsible for managing complex projects that require analysis, design, development, implementation and continual improvement of instructional products in instructor-led, virtual, and blended models.

The position also involves serving as the project manager of cooperative agreements or contracts for the leadership development programs, professional resources and program evaluation, and partnering with the Professional Learning Branch Program Manager in the provisioning, planning and systemic alignment with the Centers for Instructional Learning.

The selected candidate will also conduct and implement research on best practices in developing instructional leadership programs, support services and strategies, and will serve as the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) for multiple contracts.

The position requires a strong understanding of instructional leadership, program management, and contracting/procurement principles, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining a budget to support leadership program activities, and will represent DoDEA in briefings with various agencies and departments of the Federal Government relating to the areas of educational expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement leadership development programs for Prek-12 school leaders

Requirements:

  • One year of specialized experience in developing sequential Prek-12 school leadership programs, monitoring contracts for services or products, conducting research to improve developmental Prek-12 school leadership programs, and performing a full-range of supervisory duties
  • Experience in program management, contracting/procurement, and instructional leadership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain a budget to support leadership program activities

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement
