Job Overview

Position Title: Surface Mount Technology (SMT) Operator

Role Summary: The selected candidate will be responsible for the operation of SMT machinery and the thorough inspection of the produced items to meet IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate SMT equipment and conduct inspections on the manufactured products.
  • Maintain and align solder paste stencils, ensuring uniform application of solder paste for consistent screen prints across all items.
  • Manage SMT components using a pick and place machine, confirming the correct positioning, values, and polarity of components.
  • Perform visual inspections of assemblies to assess solder quality, accuracy of component placement, and identify any missing parts or errors.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in SMT machine operation.
  • Experience with pick and place technology.
  • Knowledge of soldering techniques.

Employment Type: This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity.

Work Environment: This position requires full on-site presence.

Shift Details: 1st shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; 2nd shift: 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM.
