Job Summary

As a Barclays US Basel IV Regulatory Capital Reporting specialist, you will be responsible for the development and on-going calculation and reporting of both point in time and CCAR Projected risk weighted assets (RWAs), capital, leverage, and SCCL Large Exposures for Barclays IHC (Intermediate Holding Company) to internal and external stakeholders.

This role will involve working in the Regulatory Capital Team and will require a strong understanding of the Federal Reserve interpretation of the Basel III risk-based capital rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely financial statements and other accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial risks, and report on these financial risks to senior colleagues.
  • Develop and implement a robust system of internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure the accuracy of financial data, and address any weaknesses or gaps.
  • Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and software applications, including collaboration with IT colleagues to integrate financial systems with other enterprise systems.
  • Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to authorities, and provide support to other departments in their preparation and review of regulatory reports.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of the Federal Reserve interpretation of the Basel III risk-based capital rules.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data and systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital and technology.
