Job Description

Purpose of the Role

To gather, analyze, and present risk data in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders across the organization, facilitating informed decision-making, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a variety of risk reports, including credit, market, operational, and liquidity risk reports, and regulatory reports.
  • Extract risk data from various sources, including internal systems, risk models, and external market data feeds.
  • Analyze risk data to identify trends, patterns, and outliers, and assess the impact of risk exposures.
  • Monitor key risk indicators and metrics to identify emerging risks and track the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement risk reporting improvements and automation initiatives.

Assistant Vice President Expectations

Consult on complex issues; provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.

Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.

Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.

Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, which requires understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the organization sub-function.

Collaborate with other areas of work, for business-aligned support areas to keep up to speed with business activity and the business strategy.

Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources, such as procedures and practices, to solve problems creatively and effectively.

Communicate complex information, including sensitive information or information that is difficult to communicate because of its content or its audience.

Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

Barclays Services Corp. seeks AVP, Regulatory Reporting Analyst in Whippany, NJ (multiple positions available):

Conduct Regulatory Reporting related to Barclays IHC capital and risk.

Conduct a combination of quarterly external Fed reporting and internal management reporting.

Calculate risk-weighted assets per Basel 3 rule for the Bank's US operations and produce various reporting requirements.

Produce and analyze the Standardized Basel III RWAs for Derivative Transactions.

Compute and report Single Counter Credit Limit (SCCL) exposure.

Support the regulatory capital external reporting requirements to the Federal Reserve.

Work with IT to implement target solutions.

Work with various business stakeholders to understand key risk drivers.

May telecommute.
