Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of city-owned facilities and grounds, including building systems, equipment, and exterior spaces.
  • Operations Management: Plan, coordinate, and supervise the work of maintenance staff, including prioritizing tasks, assigning work, and monitoring progress.
  • Contract Management: Review and negotiate service contracts, including researching vendors and evaluating bids.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Manage department budget, including preparing budget reports, tracking expenses, and ensuring compliance with city policies.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise and train maintenance staff, including providing technical guidance, conducting performance evaluations, and developing training programs.

Requirements

  • Education: Associate degree in building and facilities management, architecture, engineering, management, or construction management.
  • Experience: Five years of experience in building maintenance, including lead or supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.
