Financial Planning and Execution Specialist

Snelling is seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning and Execution professional to join our team in the Birmingham, AL area. As a strategic financial partner, you will play a critical role in guiding the organization's financial success and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate Balance Sheet and P&L Review, as well as daily and monthly reporting.
- Provide accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting to leadership.
- Offer analytical support to Operations Leadership, both at the executive-level and senior leadership levels.
- Assist Finance and Accounting with any assistance needed to complete month-end close, including solution variance analysis.
- Complete daily profit and loss forecasting and analysis.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Recommend system and process improvement initiatives to streamline workflow and improve efficiencies.
- Develop and curate large data sets needed to inform business decisions.
- Build databases and develop queries and calculations for financial reports.
- Collaborate with Business Unit Leaders to develop annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational plans.
- Monitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Prepare regular operational performance reports for management review, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
- Develop customized dashboards and reporting tools to enhance visibility into operational performance.
- Work closely with Business Unit leaders to optimize inventory levels, minimize carrying costs, and ensure adequate inventory availability to meet customer demand.
- Create financial models to assess the impact of various supply chain scenarios, assisting with the identification and allocation of supply chain costs to products/business units, helping to determine accurate product costs.
- Collaborate with the business units to develop and monitor KPIs related to supply chain performance, such as order fulfillment rates, lead times, and inventory turnover.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, economics, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in finance/accounting/Operations experience in a high-volume environment.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Oracle, Hyperion/Essbase) required. Experience in Microsoft Great Plains is a plus.
- Experienced with data modeling, analysis, and data visualization/business intelligence tools.
- Advanced experience in Excel and PowerPoint.
- At least 2 years' experience with using data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- A solid grasp of revenue stream analysis and pricing strategies.
Starting Salary for Financial Planning and Execution: $70,000-$125,000 DOE
