Job Overview

Quality Support Services is seeking a part-time Baggage Handling System (BHS) Control Room Operator. This role involves monitoring the operational status of baggage handling systems to ensure efficient flow and response to incidents.


Compensation: The hourly wage for this position is $18.56.


Work Schedule: The operator will work two OVERNIGHT shifts per week, totaling 16 hours. Shifts are scheduled for Friday and Saturday from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the conveyor system for optimal baggage flow.
  • Track laser array performance metrics.
  • Review and analyze statistical reports.
  • Assign make-up tasks as needed.
  • Manage and update flight schedules.
  • Address operational inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Make informed decisions regarding BHS operations.
  • Communicate directly with airlines, airport authorities, and security agencies.
  • Ensure smooth operational startups by adhering to checklists and procedures.
  • Oversee the BHS Control Room and maintain system monitoring during operational hours.

Requirements: Candidates must successfully pass a TSA background check and ongoing drug screenings.


Education and Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a comparable role involving similar systems complexity is required.
