Job Overview

The Senior DevOps Engineer with SRE plays a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for designing and implementing solutions that enhance our software development and operations processes. This position is crucial to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of software.
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, guaranteeing consistency and reproducibility.
  • Monitor and improve system stability, performance, and reliability, identifying areas for optimization and implementing corrective measures.
  • Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error, leveraging tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Implement and maintain security measures for the infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure swift resolution.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents as needed, providing timely and effective support to ensure minimal disruption.
  • Implement and maintain best practices in areas such as logging, monitoring, and alerting, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Train and mentor junior team members, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team capabilities.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of DevOps processes and procedures, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing changes.
  • Evaluate new tools and technologies to improve DevOps processes, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage and optimize cloud resources, ensuring efficient utilization and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, ensuring minimal disruption in the event of an outage or disaster.
  • Participate in capacity planning and scalability assessments, ensuring our systems can adapt to changing demands.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with a strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Ruby, or Bash, with experience in containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deep knowledge of version control systems such as Git, with expertise in automation and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize software and infrastructure performance, with experience in monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of networking and security principles, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator a plus.
  • Experience with agile and Scrum methodologies, with a proven track record of implementing and managing scalable, secure, and highly available systems.
