Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled RN Coordinator to join our team at Medical City Plano. As a key member of our patient logistics center, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless transitions for patients across various healthcare settings.

About the Role

This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your nursing expertise to coordinate direct admissions and hospital transfers, ambulance transfers, and post-acute care placements. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate direct admissions and hospital transfers to ensure timely and efficient patient flow.
  • Manage all aspects of patient transfer, including communication with physicians, outlying facilities, and transportation providers.
  • Utilize electronic databases, clinical protocols, and healthcare information to inform decision-making and facilitate effective patient care.
  • Collaborate with HCA facilities to manage bed assignments and optimize resource allocation.
  • Analyze data on transfer problems to develop and implement evidence-based solutions and best practices.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' related clinical experience in an acute care setting (ED or Critical Care preferred).
  • RN License in the states where HCA facilities are located; multi-state license required if Transfer Center covers multiple states.
What We Offer

  • $82,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
  • 12 hour shifts, flexibility in scheduling, rotating weekends, and holiday shifts.
  • Must live within 60 miles of a Patient Logistics Center Facility.
