Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor to lead our Composites and New Glenn Payload Accommodations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the assembly and integration of large aerospace payload fairings and their jettison components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a high-performing team to assemble large aerospace payload fairings and their jettison components.
  • Guide teammates and ensure they have everything necessary to succeed.
  • Champion continued learning and growth to attract, develop, and retain great people.
  • Conduct regular check-ins to ensure team member performance, fulfillment, and growth.
  • Author job descriptions, screen candidates, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations.
  • Develop and implement process, efficiency, and safety improvements.
  • Prioritize work based on production schedule and organizational goals.

Desired Qualifications
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and coordination skills.
  • Continuous improvement mentality.
  • Curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it.
  • Lean certification.
  • Advanced degree, certification, and/or equivalent training.
  • Experience in new product introduction.
  • Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Aerospace/Launch vehicles.
  • Experience in assembly, integration, and handling of large products.
  • Experience in assembling large tight-tolerance structures.
  • Experience with composite materials (cutting, drilling, repairing, etc.).
  • Siemens 840D controller experience, G- and M-code familiarity.
  • A strong desire to understand and continuously improve production processes.
  • Understanding of equipment maintenance and diagnostic principles and failure root cause and corrective action (RCCA).
  • 5S and Lean Experience beneficial.
  • Previous or currently ordinance handler certified.
  • Rigging and Crane operator certification.
  • Pneumatic Power Feed Drilling experience.
  • Proven success as a hands-on technical leader.
  • Industry certification, trade school training, and/or degree in a related field.
  • Experience in handling/moving large aerospace components.
  • ATF Certification for handling and/or installing explosives.
  • Experience working on payloads, fairings, capsules.
