Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Senior Staff Accountant who will play a crucial role in our accounting department. This position involves assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, ensuring accurate tracking of the organization's assets, liabilities, profits, and losses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute general ledger accounting tasks, including the creation and posting of journal entries, and maintaining reconciliations for subledgers and general ledger accounts.
  • Coordinate with internal auditors to ensure compliance with SOX regulations, gathering necessary documentation for audit support.
  • Provide assistance during quarterly and annual audits with both internal and external auditors, ensuring all required information is collected and organized.
  • Conduct research and analysis on expense variances to support financial decision-making.
  • Assist in the annual physical inventory count and related analysis for branches.
  • Manage local tax return submissions, including Personal Property and Gross Sales.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and adherence to internal policies and procedures.
  • Robust analytical skills to interpret and question financial data.
Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required, along with a minimum of three years of relevant experience.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Candidates must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
