Healthcare Support LVN/LPN

Position Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive, evidence-based healthcare, which includes precise assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health concerns, health education, and planning for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection services.
Evaluate patients during the intake process.
Monitor vital signs.
Administer diagnostic tests such as EKG and Retinopathy screenings.
Carry out Point of Care testing (including COVID testing).
Facilitate patient registration and intake, assist with waiting room management, and undertake other tasks to improve the patient experience.
Order necessary equipment and prepare the clinic to ensure an optimal patient experience.
Contribute to our mission of guiding individuals towards improved health by fostering excellent patient-focused interactions and initiatives.
Administer immunizations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, and TB) while providing evidence-based vaccine counseling and education to patients and parents.
Qualifications:
A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
Experience with Electronic Medical Record documentation.
Capability to monitor vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws, and conduct Point of Care Testing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, which includes CPR and operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Ability to pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when required by protocol.
Skills Required:
Phlebotomy certification or experience preferred.
If lacking experience, must successfully complete internal phlebotomy training.
Prior experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room settings is advantageous.
Educational Background:
Graduation from a Practical or Vocational Nursing program accredited by the State Agency and/or the National League for Nursing (Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)) at the time of program completion.
