We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Bartender/Mixologist to join our team at the Hanover Inn at Dartmouth College. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Service: Greet guests and respond to their inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Beverage Preparation: Mix and garnish beverages according to recipe and portion control standards.
- Service and Presentation: Present and serve beverages to guests in a professional and attentive manner.
- Alcohol Service: Check guests for proper identification and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
- Point-of-Sale Operations: Accurately total, process, and collect payments from guests using the point-of-sale system.
- Bar Maintenance: Stock and maintain the bar to ensure a high level of quality and presentation.
- Product Quality Control: Cut, store, and ensure product quality of all beverage-related perishables.
- Guest Support: Respond professionally to inebriated guests, as needed.
- TiPS certification preferred, with training provided.
- Prior bartending experience required.
- Ability to lift and/or carry, or otherwise transport up to 75 lbs. through a crowded room.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
