Job Description

RIC Development LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Development Manager to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing greenfield projects within our Renewable Energy portfolios across the Northeast region of the United States, with a focus on New York Distributed Generation Solar and Energy Storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Feasibility Reports and manage development activities of Renewable Energy projects.
  • Manage zoning and use permitting, land rights entitlements, and compliance processes.
  • Develop Scope of Work, select, manage, and direct third-party consultants and development partners.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including Interconnection Team and Environmental Affairs and Permitting, Legal Team, etc.
  • Develop viable and economically sustainable new and existing Renewable Energy projects.
  • Develop project schedules and budgets, ensure projects are progressing on schedule and within budget.
  • Report on status and critical path to completing key milestones.

Requirements:

  • Skilled in project management with the ability to identify and resolve potential project flaws and to prioritize critical path tasks.
  • General understanding of renewable energy market trends and the resulting impacts on solar project development.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively individually as well as with a team.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Outgoing customer (partner) focus.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and ability to think on their feet.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, project planning and execution, time management, and problem-solving skills required.

Education/Experience:

  • 2+ years of project development related experience preferably in renewable energy.
  • Bachelor's Degree with strong academic record from a leading undergraduate program, in engineering, business administration, and economics preferred.

Location: New York or adjacent States

Position Type: If based in New York City (metro area) – in person/hybrid. If based outside of NYC metro area – remote work.
