ACCOUNTANT FOR NICHE MARKETS
MCI Military Recruitment is seeking a skilled accountant to join our executive management team. In this capacity, you will undertake a range of professional accounting tasks, including the compilation, preparation, and maintenance of financial data and records. Your work will ensure that all financial information is documented in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and aligned with established policies and procedures for MCI programs and business operations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Accounts Receivable activities such as invoicing, manual check applications, aging reports, and account reconciliations.
- Input routine journal entries and bank transactions.
- Process Accounts Payable bills and credit card transactions as necessary.
- Conduct month-end closing and reconciliation tasks.
- Reconcile, investigate, correct, and adjust accounting data as required.
- Perform bank reconciliations.
- Provide support to department colleagues as needed.
STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will align with the ambitious growth objectives of MCI. A proven track record in an accounting role is essential. The successful applicant will demonstrate sound business judgment and flexibility in their approach. This role requires collaboration with various business units to gain operational insights and implement departmental initiatives. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, are critical.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- 1-2 years of experience in accrual accounting, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing, and bank reconciliations.
- Consistent and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to engage with all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage projects.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional proofreading and editing capabilities.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position operates within a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this role, the employee will primarily be sedentary and may be required to sit or stand for extended periods while utilizing a computer and telephone headset. Regular operation of office equipment, including computers, phones, copiers, and printers, is necessary. Occasional movement around the office may be required to complete tasks, including reaching, lifting, and moving objects up to forty (40) pounds.
