Position Summary:

The Senior Engineering Technician plays a crucial role in the testing, assessment, and repair of all ESA goggle variants. This position involves providing support to customers both domestically and internationally, conducting training on goggle operation and maintenance, and offering logistical assistance. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting tests, evaluations, and repairs on all ESA image intensifier tube models.
  • Delivering technical support for U.S. Government repair service initiatives across various product lines, including ENVG and SENVG.
  • Completing assignments that contribute to the successful resolution of designated projects, which encompasses diagnosing repair needs, prioritizing repairs, re-soldering circuit boards, assembling units, testing product functionality, and maintaining repair documentation.
  • Managing departmental documentation, processing orders, entering data, identifying process improvement opportunities, and preparing monthly reports.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience (2 years post-secondary education).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools, testing equipment, and microscopes.
  • Certification or experience in soldering.
  • Certification or experience in electronics.
  • Experience in troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with various software applications, including Excel and Word, with the ability to learn ESA factory programs.
Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of night vision equipment and experience in image tube evaluation and testing.
  • Experience in the assembly and operation of night vision goggles and related testing equipment.
  • Technical repair expertise.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience in training or teaching.
  • Familiarity with fault analysis techniques.
