Job Summary:

The Industrial Athletic Trainer will play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive worksite injury management and health improvement program for employees. This position requires a unique blend of athletic training expertise, business acumen, and interpersonal skills to design and implement effective injury prevention and wellness initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Site-Specific Wellness Initiatives: Design and implement evidence-based wellness programs to promote employee health and well-being.
  • Conduct Comprehensive Wellness Assessments and Ergonomic Risk Analyses: Identify and mitigate workplace hazards to prevent injuries and illnesses.
  • Provide First-Aid Treatment and Management: Offer immediate care and management for musculoskeletal complaints, including the use of ice, heat, wellness stretches, massage, tape techniques, and non-rigid bracing.
  • Coordinate and Implement Treatment Plans: Collaborate with employees, management, and other stakeholders to develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning as necessary.
  • Perform Data Analysis and Administrative Tasks: Collect and analyze data to measure the effectiveness of wellness initiatives and programs, and execute administrative tasks such as completing forms, documenting patient files, and generating reports.
  • Communicate Effectively: Build relationships with employees, management, and other stakeholders to promote a culture of trust and care, and to educate employees on injury prevention and wellness strategies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Certifications: Board of Certification (BOC) certified, state licensure/certification, and current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of athletic training experience, with a strong background in injury prevention and wellness.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with employees and management, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
