Cytology Laboratory Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cytology Supervisor to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. The successful candidate will provide supervision over the Cytopathology Laboratory, ensuring the highest quality of cell preparations and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise Cytopathology Laboratory functions, including administrative tasks and quality control.
- Provide educational instruction and training to personnel.
- Select, evaluate, and discipline personnel as needed.
- Ensure compliance with licensure, certification, and registration requirements.
- Minimum of four years of clinical work experience as a Cytotechnologist, with at least two years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Science (Cytotechnology Track) from an accredited program.
- Current CT (ASCP) certification and SCT (ASCP) certification preferred.
The Cytology Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and frequent customer interactions. The successful candidate must be able to adapt to frequent change and maintain a steady pace.
