Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lock Joint Tub. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all phases of electrical/electronic maintenance on our equipment, including reviewing, repairing, testing, maintaining, and documenting preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install power supply, wiring, and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Terminate power supply wires and cables to machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning components such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replace damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Test malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other maintenance workers.
  • Diagnose, repair, or replace faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, position sensing devices, and printed circuit boards.
  • Replace electric motors, bearings, and rewire motors.
  • Plan layout and installation of wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to create drawings with specifications for machining parts and tools.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as volts and amps in electrical components.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
