Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team at Lock Joint Tub. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing all phases of electrical/electronic maintenance, reviewing, repairing, testing, maintaining, and documenting preventive maintenance of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installs power supply, wiring, and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment.
  • Terminates power supply wires and cables to machines and equipment.
  • Diagnoses malfunctioning components such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
  • Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers.
  • Diagnoses, repairs, or replaces faulty electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, motors, position sensing devices, and printed circuit boards.
  • Replaces electric motors, bearings, and rewires motors.
  • Plans layout and installation of wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings.
  • Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machinery and equipment.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Associate degree in college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to create drawings with specifications for machining parts and tools.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as volts and amps in electrical components.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
