We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Assistant Professor in the Whitacre College of Engineering at Texas Tech University. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of our institution while advancing your career in academia.
About the PositionThis tenure-track position is part of the Institute for Sustainability and Circular Economy (ISCE) and the NSF-funded Engineering Research Center for Advancing Sustainable and Distribute Fertilizers (CASFER). The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in multidisciplinary research, teaching, and service, with a focus on circular engineering design and sustainability.
Responsibilities- Conduct research in the area of circular engineering design and sustainability, with a focus on developing solutions to major societal problems.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering, including online courses and microcredentials.
- Engage in strategic outreach, scholarship, and internal and professional service.
- Collaborate with faculty and researchers from multiple disciplines to advance the mission and vision of ISCE and CASFER.
- Ph.D. in Engineering or a closely related field.
- Record of submissions indicative of an active pursuit of publications of scholarly work.
- Commitment to excellence in education, student mentoring, outreach, and community engagement.
- Evidence of a sustained record of externally funded research programs.
- Proven ability to build and maintain or develop multidisciplinary collaborations.
Individuals who have been part of a large research center (e.g., NSF Engineering Research Center, Science Technology Center, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
