The EAP Counselor provides confidential counseling and support services to ECU Health team members and their eligible family members. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a related field, such as psychology or social work, and be licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina. Experience in short-term counseling or therapy is preferred, and certification as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) is recommended.

Responsibilities
  • Provide confidential counseling and support services to ECU Health team members and their eligible family members
  • Assess and address mental health concerns, including crisis intervention and brief solutions-focused counseling
  • Develop and implement EAP programs and services to promote employee well-being and productivity
  • Collaborate with ECU Health leadership and team members to promote a culture of wellness and support
  • Provide orientations and well-being workshops to team members and their eligible family members
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as psychology or social work
  • Licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina
  • Experience in short-term counseling or therapy
  • Certification as a Certified Employee Assistance Professional (CEAP) is recommended
