Schedule: Part Time
Key Responsibilities:- Perform MRI examinations requiring a thorough understanding of anatomical positioning, MRI protocols, and equipment to produce high-quality results.
- Ensure patient safety and well-being by managing delivery of care and adhering to safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear instructions to obtain desired results and minimize anxiety.
- Assess and screen patients for potential risk factors, documenting patient history and pertinent information.
- Follow established departmental protocols for procedures, unless specified otherwise by the Radiologist.
- Verify patient demographics and communicate with attending Radiologists to ensure accurate and timely care.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation and maintain a clean and safe MRI environment.
- Prioritize and organize work assignments, adjusting priorities as needed to ensure efficient and effective care.
- Exercise proper precautions to ensure the safety of patients and staff while performing duties.
- Conduct routine quality control checks to ensure equipment is in acceptable condition.
- Prepare and assist in the administration of contrast materials, as needed.
- Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform daily, monthly, semi-annual, and annual Quality Control checks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Experience with power injectors is preferred.
- Attend departmental meetings to stay informed and contribute to team discussions.
- Perform other job duties as required to support the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
- BLS certification is required.
- 1-3 years' experience in MRI technology is preferred.
- Graduation from an accredited MRI program with current MRI certification is required.
- ARRT or ARMRIT certification is required; IV certificate is preferred.
- The ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft applications and Electronic Medical Record Systems.
