Job Overview

As a Barback, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation of the bar by providing exceptional support to bartenders and beverage servers. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt, courteous, and professional service to guests and staff.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and intervene when necessary, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador during service and at public relations events.
  • Promote upcoming events and programs to enhance guest experience.
  • Provide personalized service, utilizing guest names whenever possible.
  • Address and resolve service issues in accordance with company policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with beverage servers, bartenders, and other team members.
  • Maintain appropriate stock levels of supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Organize and store liquors, fruits, glassware, and other supplies following safety protocols.
  • Replace empty draught beer kegs as needed.
  • Prepare fruit and fill ice bins to ensure bar readiness.
  • Operate and maintain bar equipment in compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness by disposing of debris and sanitizing work areas.
  • Uphold health and safety standards in all designated areas.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old; prior experience in a bar setting is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of RVP training is necessary.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Adherence to professional appearance standards as per company policy.
  • Ability to respond to visual and auditory cues.
  • Capable of working in confined spaces and tolerating a lively environment.
  • Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform various physical tasks.
