Job Overview

Position Title: Customer Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary:

This role is dedicated to managing client accounts and delivering logistics assistance.
  • Key Responsibilities: Engage with drivers and clients
  • Identify suitable vehicles for backhaul operations
  • Arrange shipments with suppliers and provide necessary release numbers
  • Confirm previous day’s pickups and reschedule as needed
  • Address receiving inquiries and update systems and suppliers
  • Support inventory management when necessary
  • Oversee backhaul coordination in collaboration with local fleet
  • Validate and document light loads
  • Investigate delays and complete supplier incident reports
  • Coordinate pickups and communicate any required actions to the mill buyer
  • Update freight rates weekly
  • Collaborate with events and collection organizations to ensure smooth execution of pickups and deliveries, while providing support and guidance
  • Generate performance reports and conduct trend and data analysis
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies and verify invoicing for service providers
  • Adhere to all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook Code of Conduct
  • Follow all safety protocols established by the company
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications:
  • College degree or High School diploma with equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in transportation and logistics
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, recycling sector, and/or supply chain logistics preferred
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word)
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Professional demeanor and conduct
  • Strong multitasking, communication, problem-solving, and time management abilities
  • High level of safety awareness and discipline
  • Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards colleagues, supervisors, and the public
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home when necessary
  • Availability to work nights and weekends as required
  • Strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and assist colleagues or supervisors as needed
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements in designated areas
  • Must be at least 18 years of age due to the nature of the work environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the business to meet customer expectations
  • Random and suspicion drug testing will be conducted
  • Successful completion of a drug screen and background check is required for employment
