Telecommunications Laborer

Tex-Star Service is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team in the Southwest and Pacific Northwest regions of the United States. As a Laborer, you will be responsible for completing general labor duties related to telecommunications construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various types and sizes of construction materials and equipment. Your duties may include installing and maintaining underground telecommunications cabling, climbing in and out of equipment, operating or working around heavy equipment and machinery, and maintaining safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies. You will work in congested or remote areas, maintain visual and audible contact with other crew members and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement, and perform general construction work under the direction of a Foreman/Supervisor. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment and working in all weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License, basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner, and basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner. You may have experience in the utility construction industry and the ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities. You will be required to pass all company drug testing, submit to a background check, and adhere to all OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements and training provided by the company as required.
