The Transportation Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring timely and safe deliveries of life-saving medical products to our customers. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Load and secure product from the Medline Facility into a truck, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Safely operate a Class A vehicle between the Medline Facility and multiple customer destinations on a delivery route, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Unload and deliver product at our customer facilities, ensuring timely deliveries and providing excellent customer service.
- Provide in-person support to customers, addressing their questions and needs, and providing necessary documentation upon delivery.
- Communicate with the dispatching team regarding necessary adjustments to the delivery route or schedule to meet customer needs and maintain safe operations.
- Maintain a travel and cargo log in accordance with Federal and State regulations and company policy.
- Perform regular vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation and sufficient fuel levels for continued use.
