We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Driver to join our team at West Haven Community House. As a Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our clients to and from their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport clients to and from their homes, following established routes and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management to ensure seamless transportation services.
- Maintain a clean and safe vehicle, adhering to all motor vehicle laws and regulations.
- Report any incidents or concerns to management in a timely manner.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Valid Connecticut Public Service License and clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain authorization from leased vehicle company to drive handicapped van.
- At least 21 years of age.
- CPR certification prior to hire.
- Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities preferred.
