Contribute to the Regional Human Development Report for Latin America and the Caribbean 2025

We are seeking a talented intern to support our team in preparing the new Regional Human Development Report (RHDR) for Latin America and the Caribbean. The report will examine the concept of resilience from a human development perspective, emphasizing agency and the imperative for individuals to shape their future.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Supporting quantitative and qualitative background research for the RHDR 2025
  • Undertaking literature reviews and writing short research notes
  • Reviewing and verifying statistical materials for the RHDR 2025
  • Assisting in analysis and presentation of human development statistics
  • Supporting the development of high-impact communications materials for the Regional Human Development Reports and related products

To be eligible for this internship, you should have:

  • A postgraduate degree programme in development, environment and sustainable science, economics, statistics, social sciences or a related field
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish, with proficiency in other languages such as French and Portuguese being a strong asset

This is an unpaid internship opportunity, but we offer a stipend to help cover expenses related to the internship. As an intern, you will work full-time and be responsible for obtaining necessary visas and arranging travel to and from the duty station. Upon completion of the internship, you will receive a certificate acknowledging your participation and contributions to the project.

Please note that this is not a paid position, and interns are not eligible to apply for or be appointed to any post in UNDP during the period of the internship. We expect interns to commit to the duration of the internship and contribute meaningfully to the project's success.
