Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Specimen Processing Specialist to join our team at Equiliem Healthcare. As a key member of our Technical Operations Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth processing of specimens for laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Specimen Processing: Sort, rack, and deliver specimens to the laboratory in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Quality Control: Identify and resolve issues with specimen types, missing information, and other problems that may impact specimen processing.
  • Compliance: Develop an understanding of compliance policies related to test ordering and ensure adherence to these policies.
  • Documentation: Complete all required written documentation in a clear and legible manner.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a production environment preferred.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in medical terminology.
