Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Athletic Training Professional to join our team at Emory Healthcare. This role will provide clinical and operating room support to orthopedic physicians and surgeons under the direction of the Sports Medicine or Orthopedic Clinic Manager.

The estimated salary for this position is $62,000 - $82,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide athletic training services for Emory Orthopedics or Sports Medicine
* Assist in the Operating Room: maintaining sterile operating field, cutting sutures, assisting MD with tissue retraction, exposure of the operative area, suctioning, sizing and preparation of previously harvested graft-tissue, position of arthroscopic camera, and suturing skin and wound closure under supervision of the physician
* Develop and implement patient management plans, assist in provision of continuity of care from offices visits through surgery if necessary as well as therapy needs

Requirements:
We require a NBCOT Orthopedic Technologist Certification and a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer with one (1) year of surgical experience or NBCOT Orthopedic Technologist Certification with completion of an Athletic Training Residency Program and one (1) year of surgical experience.
