About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Chemist II to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our analytical development team, you will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical support to drive revenue growth, enhance laboratory capabilities, and ensure high standards of lab quality compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct feasibility studies, analysis, validation, stability testing, and industry trials in accordance with Quality by Design (QbD) standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support key performance indicators (KPIs) for laboratory and operational functions.
  • Assist in scaling up projects to commercial levels.
  • Create and review technical documents such as analytical method development reports, validation protocols, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in science.
  • 4+ years of industry experience.
  • 3+ years of HPLC, GC, FTIR experience.
  • Experience using chromatography software (Empower 3).
  • Previous technical writing experience and ability to present data to internal and external customers.
  • Previous pharmaceutical/FDA drug experience.
  • Confidently able to troubleshoot analytical instrumentation (HPLC, GC, FTIR, dissolution).
