Scientific Programmer/Data Scientist

The University of Minnesota is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Programmer/Data Scientist to join Dr. Sisi Ma's research team in the Institute for Health Informatics. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the development of computational causal discovery and predictive modeling theory and methods.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement data processing and analysis infrastructure to ensure data integrity and security.
- Develop and apply machine learning, statistical, and data-mining algorithms to analyze complex biomedical and healthcare-related data.
- Collaborate with researchers and clinicians to communicate and present analytical results.
- Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to the development of software and demonstrations.
- M.A./M.S. in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Informatics, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with Matlab, Python, or R, as well as SQL or other database technology.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with experience publishing scientific papers in conferences and journals.
