Northside Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Staff Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Administer moderate sedation to patients undergoing invasive procedures under the direction of the anesthesiologist (if applicable).
- Prepare patients for procedures through education, obtaining lab work, initiating venous access, and medicating as needed.
- Provide age-appropriate pre-procedure instructions to patients and their significant others.
- Report changes in patient condition and aid in emergency measures as required.
- Administer post-procedure care and instructions.
- Assist in positioning the C-Arm device for the physician, as needed.
- Apply the nursing process in the assessment and care of pain & spine center patients.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time experience as a RN post-orientation or post-residency training.
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
- Please refer to the specific clinical unit for additional education, competencies, and/or certification required as a condition of employment.
- Procedural experience and strong IV insertion skills.
