About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our team at ProActive Physical Therapy Specialists. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Exchanging necessary information and documents with patients and/or patient's caregiver
  • Providing explanation of visit, instructions, and addressing concerns and questions
  • Ensuring necessary information is exchanged with referring provider's office, clinical department, and/or other appropriate personnel
  • Verifying insurance benefits and obtaining pre-certification/authorization as necessary
  • Determining and accepting required payments, including co-pays and deductibles
  • Ensuring that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy

Requirements

  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action
  • Previous front office experience
  • Bilingual a plus
