Responsibilities

  • Prepare aircraft surfaces meticulously for painting, ensuring optimal adhesion and a flawless finish.
  • Accurately mix and apply paints according to specified color codes and formulas, utilizing precision and attention to detail.
  • Operate paint-spraying equipment proficiently, maintaining consistent application techniques and achieving desired coverage.
  • Strictly adhere to safety procedures and environmental guidelines throughout the painting process, safeguarding both personnel and the surrounding environment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to established housekeeping standards and promoting a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, communicating progress and addressing any challenges promptly.

Secondary Duties

  • Contribute to additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to support team objectives.
  • Lead painting projects when certified, providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of three years of proven experience in aircraft painting or five years in an industrial paint setting.
  • Provide necessary tools and equipment required for the role.
  • Exhibit flexibility in work schedule to accommodate operational needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hold a valid FAA certification, demonstrating specialized knowledge and expertise in aircraft painting.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

  • Successfully complete a pulmonary function test, ensuring adequate respiratory capacity for the demands of the role.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using safety equipment designed for handling hazardous materials, prioritizing personal safety and environmental protection.
