Position Overview

The Finance Operations Manager will report directly to the Finance Director for North America. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of general ledger reconciliations, taxation, payroll, budgeting, and management reporting, alongside a proficient command of Excel and integrated accounting systems. The Finance Operations Manager will oversee the preparation, maintenance, analysis, and reporting of financial data for the company's US operations, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all financial information and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations for accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and cost center variance analyses.
  • Review daily sales and inventory transactions prior to ledger posting.
  • Support payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable team members.
  • Assist in the bi-weekly payroll process and review payroll tax returns for accuracy.
  • Prepare payroll journals and manage accruals.
  • Review supplier payments and employee expense claims.
  • Manage vendor data creation and maintenance.
  • Maintain the fixed asset register.
  • Assist with monthly forecasting and annual budget preparation.
  • Support statutory and tax compliance activities.
  • Participate in audit activities and respond to requests from external auditors and HQ Finance team.
  • Engage in system and business process improvement initiatives within the finance team.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while maintaining system integrity.
  • Identify gaps and contribute innovative ideas to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Territory Parameters
  • Hybrid work model with 2 days in-office.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: Depends on Experience.

Minimum Requirements
  • CPA or CA qualified, with a relevant bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years in a comprehensive accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables).
  • Experience with cloud-based ERP systems and BI tools.
  • Relevant experience in commercial and inventory-driven businesses.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
