About the Role

Dal-Tile is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for increasing market share and sales for our Dal-Tile Countertop products in the prescribed region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct weekly sales calls to service existing customers and expand the account base through cold calling.
  • Prepare weekly sales and call reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop a monthly sales strategy and prepare a travel calendar to ensure effective use of time.
  • Conduct area market analysis to identify top accounts, dealers, contractors, and builders.
  • Research market product data to determine sales strategy and grow market share.
  • Utilize influence and negotiation skills to sell and/or place displays in customer showrooms.
  • Establish and maintain client files and perform timely follow-up on programs and projects.
  • Provide product knowledge seminars to customers.
  • Utilize reporting tools to achieve sales objectives.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and some college education preferred.
  • 4 years prior selling experience, with prior customer service experience a plus.
  • Proven ability to work in an unstructured, unsupervised environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills, including influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate solid time management and organizational skills.
