Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Floor Team Member to join our team at Floor & Decor. As a Sales Floor Team Member, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting our sales team in achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Connect with customers, ask about their projects, recommend our products, and excite customers about their purchase.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough understanding of our products, including features, benefits, and applications.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shoppable, and safe.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in cooperation with management and team members to achieve sales goals and support the overall success of the store.
  • Operational Tasks: Process customers at checkout using the point of sale (POS) system, process customer refunds and exchanges, and follow established cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
Requirements
  • Age: Must be 18 years or older.
  • Math Skills: Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Customer Service Experience: Customer service experience is required.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to exert 30-60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20-30 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Working Conditions
  • Warehouse Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
  • Physical Requirements: The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
