The Financial Records Specialist will play a crucial role in assisting the accounting division with various administrative and clerical responsibilities. This position entails maintaining accurate financial documentation, processing transactions, and ensuring the integrity of financial information. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and a solid grasp of fundamental accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and manage financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Prepare and uphold accounting documents and records
  • Reconcile bank statements and ledgers
  • Conduct job costing
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports
  • Perform data entry while ensuring the accuracy of financial data
  • Support payroll processing
  • Address vendor and customer inquiries related to accounts
  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial and employee information
  • Assist with audits and other accounting projects as required
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or associate degree in accounting
  • Demonstrated experience as an Accounting Clerk or in a similar capacity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Miter, or SAP)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Preferred: Experience in Construction Accounting
