Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Aurora Flight Sciences is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting Department in Manassas, Virginia. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll for 800+ employees within a multistate environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure completion of weekly timesheets
• Communicate with Human Resource to ensure accurate processing of payroll through ADP
• Record payroll entries into our ERP system (SAP byDesign)
• Reconcile payroll general ledger accounts
• Participate in payroll related audits

Requirements:
• 10+ years of relevant experience in payroll
• 4 to 6 years of experience with ADP
• Must be a US Person
• Knowledgeable about federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
• Ability to meet strict deadlines, multi-task, and extreme attention to detail
• Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Strong organizational skills, work ethics, and team player
• High degree of professionalism
• Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
• Ability to interface well with a variety of employees at all levels
• Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills, with an emphasis on Excel
• Experience in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
• Outstanding data entry skills

• Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria
• Mastery of internal controls
• SAP ByDesign experience desired
• Experience using accounting software
