Job Title: Mission Assurance Manager

At Terran Orbital Corporation, we are seeking an experienced Mission Assurance Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Mission Assurance team, you will work closely with program managers, quality assurance, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of customer deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal program management, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and operations functions to ensure program performance, quality, cost, and schedule requirements are met.
  • Participate in design, manufacturing, test, and other readiness reviews and evaluations.
  • Perform proposal reviews and lead the execution of mission and product assurance customer requirements.
  • Provide leadership to identify, evaluate, and monitor potential issues and risks independent of program management, engineering, manufacturing, and operations.
  • Participate in Material Review Board, Engineering Review Board, and Failure Review Board activities as required.
  • Track non-conformance status to ensure notification, disposition, and closure prior to program delivery.
  • Perform internal acceptance reviews to ensure modules are acceptable for delivery to programs.
  • May lead Mission Assurance team including reliability engineers, parts engineering, and technical subject matter experts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or relevant technical discipline (e.g., math, physics, chemistry, etc.) or engineering Associates degree with at least 8 years of aerospace Mission Assurance experience.
  • 8+ years of experience total, 3-5 years of experience in a key Mission Assurance or Product Assurance role.
  • Experience in one or more of the following disciplines: Quality Assurance, System Safety Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or Parts, Materials, and Processes Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and processes.
  • Demonstrated teamwork with strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate across organizational boundaries and levels.
Additional Differentiators:
  • Bachelor's degree in an electrical engineering or EEE discipline.
  • Master's degree in engineering, physical sciences, or business administration.
  • 5+ years of Mission Assurance experience in the aerospace industry during the PDR/CDR phase of a program.
  • Experience with Mission Assurance and Quality-related industry and government standards.
  • Experience with aerospace customers and their mission/product assurance practices.
  • Concept-to-launch experience with one or more satellite missions.
  • Understanding of satellites, space sensors, and ground systems used for space assets.
