Job Summary:

Perform and analyze payroll and tax functions according to established policies and procedures. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with internal policy and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, analyze, and review documents related to payroll processing, leave reporting, benefits deductions, tax withholding, and reconciliations.
  • Adhere to strict deadlines and follow institutional policy and/or federal and state regulations.
  • Promptly respond to requests for assistance and provide information in a kind and courteous manner.
  • Maintain departmental procedures in an established electronic format.
  • Manage time in a fast-paced environment with expectations to complete assigned tasks as well as develop knowledge of departmental processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years of related experience; OR combination of education and experience to equal six years.
  • Knowledge and efficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • A communication style that can adapt to various knowledge levels of the intended audience.
  • Accounting or finance degree.
