Job Title: Research Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician to join our team at the Hospital for Special Surgery/Weill-Cornell Medical College.

About the Role:

The Research Technician will participate in translational research projects in immunology and autoimmune diseases, utilizing cutting-edge molecular and genomic approaches, animal models, and patient-derived samples to study signaling pathways and molecular networks important for immune cell function.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct experiments and data analysis using qPCR, flow cytometry, tissue culture, and western blotting techniques.
  • Develop and implement independent research projects and contribute to the development of research protocols.
  • Collaborate with researchers and scientists to design and execute experiments.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and data.
  • Present research findings and results to the research team and at scientific conferences.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a biomedical field with coursework in biochemistry and cell and molecular biology.
  • Prefer extensive hands-on lab experience, including qPCR, flow cytometry, tissue culture, and western blotting.
  • Some mouse work experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient use of computers and software, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
