VP Quality Risk Management Specialist

At Bank of China, we are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a VP Quality Risk Management Specialist. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining all aspects of business procedures under the guidance of the Bank's Risk Governance Framework (RGF) and OCCs Heightened Standards.

The successful candidate will manage the Quality Control Unit to accomplish its mission as defined in the RGF, including assisting in identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of risk issues and KRIs. S/he will also lead post-closing loan management, ensure adherence to policies & procedures and deadlines, and provide employees with training and coaching to maintain a high quality of work.

Key responsibilities include working with Account Officers to manage a large, multifaceted portfolio of commercial loans, ensuring timely completion of post lending management tasks, and coordinating with other departments to manage the Expired Documents Log. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related areas, and a minimum of 10 years of working experience in banking or financial industry, ideally with experience in credit portfolio management.

The successful candidate will be proficient in financial modeling and analytics, especially in fundamental credit analysis, both quantitative and qualitative. S/he will also demonstrate knowledge of lending activities, bank deposit operations, and legal compliance function, as well as solid knowledge of risk applications and metrics for retail and commercial banking.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build rapport with internal stakeholders, legal counsel, regulators and examiners. The ideal candidate will also have the capability and willingness to develop staff, including new hires, on technical skills.
