Job Title: Materials Coordinator

OpSec is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve operational performance and quality standards, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with company, site, and legal occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the production schedule to ensure timely material availability.
  • Verify documentation and information related to materials, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage waste management, including arranging collections and minimizing waste.
  • Collect and manage returnable pallets and drums, maintaining optimal levels.
  • Take ownership of the WMS database spreadsheet, ensuring accurate supplier serial and MAS lot number traceability.
  • Unload, check, label, and book materials onto MAS, ensuring seamless inventory management.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts on items identified by the finance team, maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Manage and maintain kanban for consumable items at each cell and workstation, ensuring efficient material flow.
  • Conduct daily inspections on forklift trucks, reporting any damage or faults to the supplier.
  • Perform weekly racking inspections, identifying and reporting any damage.
  • Process material issues and bin transfers in a timely manner, ensuring accurate inventory levels on MAS.
  • Minimize operator downtime due to forklift activities, ensuring materials are delivered to cells/workstations in line with production requirements.
